Justine is passionate about group support as a tool for healing. \nMargarita Miniovich\, MSW\, RSW\, Certified Grief Educator\, has worked in the field of mental health for over 30 years including grief\, loss and bereavement\, as well as anxiety\, depression\, anger\, substance use\, and self-harm. In her practice\, she uses an array of psychotherapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS)\, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based\, as well as drawing on Somatic approaches and Havening Technique®\, which is a gentle trauma reprocessing technique.

Along with her sister\, Justine Silver\, Eileen founded the registered charity Good Grief! Bereavement Healing Services and began her role as a group facilitator and Bereavement Educator. She has been focusing her skills and compassion on assisting the underserved grief-stricken population of the GTA. \nSonia Comiré\, Registered Psychotherapist\, has a background in community hospices\, helping people of all ages to navigate the challenges of illness\, caregiving\, death and grief. She has worked with people from different cultures\, backgrounds and identities\, and with people experiencing complicated and traumatic grief. \nHer life experience has taught her that we are all flawed human beings in need of compassion and kindness and often feel alone in our struggles when in reality these struggles are a part of the common human experience. In mid-life she decided to change her career path and follow her passion for helping people. Sonia completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She also completed additional training in grief\, palliative care\, caregiver support\, narrative therapy\, cognitive behavioural therapy\, and trauma therapy\, as well as a certification in Child Grief and Bereavement.

Having obtained her certificate in Bereavement Education from the University of Toronto Social Work Continuing Education Department\, Eileen began her role as a group facilitator and Bereavement Educator and has been focusing her skills in assisting the underserved grief-stricken population of the GTA. \nJustine Silver\, BSc\, CMP\, was thrown into the world of grieving after the unexpected passing of her husband several years ago. With the support of family\, friends\, professional and group counselling\, Justine was able to access tools and techniques to help her move forward. She combines these skills and professional experience to help others navigate through loss\, creating a welcoming group experience. Justine is passionate about group support as a tool for healing and has facilitated groups including a pet loss support group.

Developed as a response to feedback from professionals experiencing client loss and looking for support and community\, this pilot project will be facilitated by social workers with expertise in grief. \n  \n\nTuesdays\n12Noon – 1:00pm \n\n  \n\nPlease note: \n\nThis group is only available to Ontario residents.\n\n  \n\nRegister \n  \nMeet the Facilitators \n\n\n\nEileen Jadd\, MA\, RSW\, has been working for community service organizations in Toronto\, both professionally and as a volunteer for over 25 years. Gaela has extensive experience providing therapy and consultation to young people. She has sub-specialties in the areas of sexual violence and supporting individuals with LGBTQ+ identities.
