Meet the Facilitators

Eileen Jadd, MA, RSW, has been working for community service organizations in Toronto, both professionally and as a volunteer for over 30 years. She has a Bachelors of Social Work and and Master of Arts in Communal Service. After the sudden death of her beloved brother-in-law, she went back to school to earn her certificate in Bereavement Education from the University of Toronto Social Work Continuing Education Department. Along with her sister, Justine Silver, Eileen founded the registered charity Good Grief! Bereavement Healing Services and began her role as a group facilitator and Bereavement Educator. She has been focusing her skills and compassion on assisting the underserved grief-stricken population of the GTA.

Sonia ComiréRegistered Psychotherapist, has a background in community hospices, helping people of all ages to navigate the challenges of illness, caregiving, death and grief. She has worked with people from different cultures, backgrounds and identities, and with people experiencing complicated and traumatic grief.

Her life experience has taught her that we are all flawed human beings in need of compassion and kindness and often feel alone in our struggles when in reality these struggles are a part of the common human experience. In mid-life she decided to change her career path and follow her passion for helping people. Sonia completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She also completed additional training in grief, palliative care, caregiver support, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and trauma therapy, as well as a certification in Child Grief and Bereavement.
